I worked in senior and preparatory schools between 1983 and 2010. In a headship career encompassing three preparatory schools over 18 years I moved from the tranquil waters of a boarding school of 70 boys to a co-educational day and boarding school of 500. In amongst all of this I established the consultancy in 2003 whilst working as a consultant for GEMS UK, and projects have included the setting up of Sherfield School in Hampshire and numerous contracts for senior and preparatory schools.
Having launched and developed the Learning Skills Trust, I am one of the most experienced consultants in developing a skills-rich curriculum. I am a qualified appraiser, have sat on IAPS Council and the IAPS Membership Committee, and been the IAPS representative on the Independent Schools Council Community Service Committee. I am a trustee of Strive International and Access Sport, and chair the Education Committee at The Study School in Wimbledon.
With what time is left for recreation I enjoy walking the byways of Wiltshire, spending time in the company of my family, playing golf and the more sedentary pursuits of cooking and reading.
